New Technology brings new problems

As I handed over a two year old 15 inch MB Pro as part exchange on a unibody 15 inch, I didn't realise I was giving away something I needed which could not be replaced.

8-core can be slower than a MacBook Pro

For the last few years I've moved away from editing on a Mac tower to editing on a MacBook Pro for most of what I do. The portability, the convenience of editing anywhere has overshadowed the need for speed which only an 8-core can provide.
