Taking the Snow Leopard Leap

This is the second time I've upgraded to Snow Leopard - the first was on the day of release. I didn't really upgrade at this point, I installed the software and then looked to see what worked and what didn't.

The whole DSLR thing

If there is one technology which has stood out in 2009 it is the emergence of the DSLR as a viable filmmaking tool. Capable of capturing beautiful images with wonderful shallow depth of field; or extreme wide angle, with amazing low-light capability, the DSLRs technology has revolutionised what is possible to filmmakers who don't have large budgets to work with or film cameras or ultra high-end video technology.

Now for the Magic - a quick reload of the entire Final Cut Studio suite of applications

Sometimes things go wrong and the only way to deal with the problem is to reinstall the software you are using. For some this is a drastic step - requiring the calling in of experts and high paid consultants, for others it is no more than a necessary procedure, which will take a bit of time, but is not too much to worry about.
