Filmmaker: Alessandro Beltrame
Alessandro Beltrame is an Italian based filmmaker who has been working with the Panasonic P2, DVCPro HD format, for over three years.
In this piece Alessandro explains key benefits of this technology: working tapeless, using the overcranking and undercranking facility, and the smooth workflow which a frame-based codec brings to the editing environment.
Filmed off the coast of Marseille, the filmmaker is shown in action, making use of mattebox and filters, and explaining various techniques by which he has developed his craft.
