Kevin Augello and Robert France speak about the Sony HXR-MC1P POV Cam
Lipstick cams became popular in the 1990's - now Sony has taken the concept a huge step further by producing an integrated HD camera and recording unit. Made up of a camera head (with optional wide lens) which is cabled to a recorder with in-built monitor, the HXR-MC1P let's you you go where no camera has gone before. The recording format is AVCHD and the recording unit provides monitor, zoom, manual or auto control.
Sony describes the camera as splash-proof, "allowing use in outdoor conditions, such as rain or when you are shooting near water."
