Red Digital Cinema shows Scarlet, Epic and Red Ray

Scarlet has been described as the "pocket Red" and will feature a 2/3 inch 3K Mysterium sensor and will be capable of shooting from 1 - 120 FPS. It will feature an 8 x 2.8 zoom lens which is not interchangeable, full auto and manual modes of operation, FireWire 800/USB 2, a still image capture mode, and will be compatible with many of the accessories of the Red One digital cinema camera. Scarlet will sell for $3000USD.

Epic is a 5K camera which will sell for $40 000. Those who have already purchased a RED ONE can trade-in their RED ONE to receive the cost of original camera - $17500 - off the price of the $40 000 Epic.

Red Ray is will sell for less than $1000USD and functions as a playback unit for a multitude of formats including 4K.

Verdict

As soon as these products are in our hands we will give the verdict. For now we all all very excited.
