At NAB 2009 Blackmagic design announced a host of new products, several being built around fiber optic technology, the expansion of their own Videohub routers, support for 3Gb SDI and the introduction of the Ultrascope - the world's first PC-based 3Gb/s SDI and optical fiber SDI scopes designed for editors and colorists with true broadcast engineering technical accuracy.
Blackmagic Design Announces OpenGear Converters with SD/HD auto switching, DashBoard network control and 3 Gb/s SDI. There are 8 new card-based converter products. These converters are virtually identical to Blackmagic Design's popular Mini Converter range and includes models for analog video, HDMI, auto and optical fiber to and from SDI.
