Kersh Media has been established for several years in Maidstone Kent, and pride themselves on producing high quality video productions for broadcast and corporate clients throughout the UK and Europe.

The company has used AVID as their editing software along with a host of other compositing and encoding applications. Everything has been done on the PC platform.

Now the company is switching from PC to Mac and has chosen Final Cut Studio to meet their post-production needs.

In this interview Graham Majin, Head of Production, Kersh Media, tells why the decision was made to move from PC to Mac, and AVID to Final Cut Pro.

Cameraman/Editor, Simon Warren, describes the shift and impact this has on his way of working. Plus, Simon provides insight into shooting with the JVC GY-HD100 and thoughts about moving to XDCAM EX.

The choice of which platform and which editing software are vital decisions for any post-production facility. In the case of Kersh Media it has taken several years to be enticed over to the Mac platform - the direction of this company is now clearly defined.
