I'm having some problems trying to work on an FCP project on another iMac via a firewire drive.

Both macs have FCP 6.0.5

Everything I think a project needs is on the FW drive:

Waveform Cache
Thumbnail Cache
Autosave Vault

Render Files:
Video Capture,
Audio Capture,
Video Render
Audio Render

And of course the media files and project file itself.

Yet when trying to open the file on another mac with from the FW drive, the project only gets to 19% on the progress bar and freezes.

What else is needed or how could I find what's associated with this project? I suspect there's some file on the first mac that isn't on the second.

I did dabble in FXFactory on this project, but have removed all traces including the application. At least I think I have!

Would really appreciate any advice, thanks.

i just got a kodak zi8 and have shot some clips in the 720p60 mode.

i had thought these clips, once transferred to to my mac, would be at 59.94 fps but when i view them in quicktime, they have a frame rate of 29.97 fps.

is this normal? or is something funky with my zi8 ?

i plan to convert to prores 422 to edit in FCP, should i do it at 29.97 or 59.94? for eventual hd dvd and hd web delivery.

MattHogan,
Have you tried simply moving the project file .fcp to a different location on the FW drive, then open and manually re link the media?,
it's a pain in bum but it will highlight the conflict for you.
