Really basic question but am new to FCP and live in Cameroon so not many people to help here. Pls can you tell me how I delete the media from my hard drive i.e I want to delete an entire project and all the media

Never delete the project... ever, it is a tiny file and you should always keep a safe copy in case you ever need it again.

To delete the media, just do it the same way you delete anything on a Mac, find the media files, usually very large file, in a folder called 'Capture Scratch' on the scratch discs. Drag them to the Trash then empty the Trash, if you don't know how to do taht, read the OSX help files.
