A while back, after upgrading to Tiger whilst staying at FCP4.5, I wrote a post that was more therapy than anything useful, barking about the fact that Tiger breaks FCP4.5's wonderful 'Apple Cinema Display' Full Screen playback feature that's just great to use in front of clients.

Well, here's a workaround. It's so Heath Robinson I find it unbelievable (it kinda shows what's broken), but heck: it works.

Before invoking the Cmd-f12 full screen playback mode, click in the window you want to see, then position the cursor over the play button.

Now hit Cmd-f12. Click the mouse WITHOUT MOVING IT and it will start playing. Click again to pause, and so on.

I'd still like to know amongst all the Tiger hupla at what point Apple clearly stated that Final Cut Pro was not qualified for Tiger...
