GenArts and The Foundry announce strategic alliance

GenArts Inc., a highly regarded provider of specialized visual effects software for the film, television and video industries, and The Foundry, a top-level visual effects software developer, have announced they have entered into a broad strategic alliance. Under the terms of the agreement, GenArts will acquire The Foundry's Tinder and Tinderbox plug-ins business and the two companies will enter into an arrangement to collaborate closely to expand the capabilities of the Nuke platform.

Agenda Now Set for the Ninth Annual San Francisco SuperMeet

The agenda has now been set for the Ninth Annual San Francisco SuperMeet to take place on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco, CA. Doors open at 3:30PM with a Digital Showcase and presentations begin at 7PM and continue until 11:00PM. Tickets are on sale online for $15.00 each and $10.00 for students or $20.00 at the door. This SuperMeet promises to be the single largest gathering of Final Cut Studio, Adobe and Avid editors, gurus and digital filmmakers in the Bay Area for all of 2010. It is expected this SuperMeet will sell out as historically every SuperMeet sells out.
